About

Memory lane

Nostalgia connects generations through personal and collective memories. Our exhibition, Memory Lane, explores the evolving relationship between past and present, offering a visual journey through the 1960s to the 2000s. Using digital media, we reinterpret the aesthetics, cultural milestones, and emotional resonance of these decades.

We are university students from diverse creative fields, including photography, textiles, 3D visualisation, concept art, digital media, and graphic design. Each decade will explore various themes, from fashion, pop culture, games, hairstyles, and historical events, offering a comprehensive view of their influence.

Artists engage with nostalgia in unique ways, using personal memories, pop culture, and history to create a dialogue between past and present. Photographers capture analogue film aesthetics, textile artists recreate fashion trends, 3D visualizations bring retro-futurism to life, concept artists add contemporary twists, and graphic designers blend old and new. These approaches highlight the diverse ways nostalgia is reimagined in digital media.

Memory Lane also explores the significance of cultural memory in a digital age. Looking back offers comfort and inspiration, reminding us how design, fashion, and media shape the present. By blending past aesthetics with modern interpretations, the exhibition celebrates nostalgia and invites reflection on how history influences today's creativity.
